Challenges of Arabic into English Literary Translation: An Analytical Study of the Translation into English of Iraqi Short Stories

Literary translation, among other types of projects a lot challenges for translators especially those dealing with disparate languages like Arabic and English. This study investigates the English translation two short stories by Iraqi writer Karim Abid. The highlights main challenges: linguistic cultural. cites illustrative examples where points misunderstanding original text, mistranslation, lack adequate interference in etc. are explored.
